I heard a couple talking about this at the clinic. What is this and can it cause infertility in women?

Danny_A - July 19th, 2010 3:01 PM

It is actually the same as ectopic pregnancy where in the embryo develops outside the inner lining of the uterus, hence the name extrauterine.

Can this be some kind of serious problem? Who is at risks, the mother or the baby inside her?

Isn't this the same as ectopic pregnancy? It is when the fetus implants itself outside the uterus. In most cases, the pregnancy is terminated.

Yes it is another name for ectopic pregnancy.

AKA ectopic pregnancy. A pregnancy not in the uterus but elsewhere. This is very painful and has to be aborted.

This is not advisable to go on the pregnancy of the woman because it in danger the life of the mother.

When this kind of pregnancy is detected earlier this must be terminated instantly because the pain of this may not be bearable. And for sure the embryo may have deformities.
