Eggs should be fertilized within 12-24 hours of their release from the ovary. This small window is the reason why every woman has 20% chance of getting pregnant per month. |

May I add that this time frame gets shorter as we age. Women in their 30's don't have the 24 hour time frame for the viability of their egg. |

After the egg is released it should be able to meet a sperm, which this sperm may able to penetrate its head to the egg, within 24 hours after the fertilization, the fertilized egg make a series of divisions. |

the 24 hours is when a woman is in her prime. as she gets older, this window gets shorter as well. |

this takes great timing. even with timing you need luck as statistics show that women only has 20% chance of getting pregnant per month. |
