do you think a Chromosome analysis is necessary for infertility testing in women?

PoshMama - October 31st, 2010 1:45 AM

some women have chromosome tests because they have prolonged infertility or frequent miscarriage. this is because of a chromosome defect they have.

so if it is a defect in chromosome this means that their infertility is genetic?

ANNE - October 31st, 2010 4:45 PM

yes. there must have been something wrong right when they were conceived that they have chromosome defects.

there is a genetic disease in males that is related to chromosomes. It affects sperm production.

This got me thinking. If genetic then it means it runs in the family, is that true? What are the chances that your sister, mother or grandmother has it too? But it turned out well for grandma and mumsy. There's still hope! Ok, I'm not making any sense here, aren't I? (",)
