I heard that tampons can cause Toxic Shock Syndrome or TSS. Can this have an effect of fertility of women?

Ive heard about TTC. This is blood loss due to a bacteria that contaminates the tampon. Unless the infection spreads or is not treated right away, i dont think it can affect fertility.

I cant see myself not getting treatment for TTS. You can lose large amounts of blood because of this. If you lose a lot of blood then you die. No need to worry about future fertility and such.

If infection spreads then probably. Im not too sure about TSS as it is very rare.

TTS is rare but it is quite fast. I heard of a case that the woman lost so much blood 24 hours after getting TSS. She just thought that her period was heavy.

TTS is dangerous!

I have no knowledge about this TSS, but if this tampons can cause Toxic Shock Syndrome then seek an advice from the obstetrician, a medical doctor who specializes in the processes and cure of diseases before, during, and after pregnancy.

I personally use a menstrual cup instead of disposable sanitary products as it is more earth friendly.

A menstrual cup is a good alternative to napkins especially tampons. Google menstrual cups and reduce your risk of TSS and save the planet all at once!

I am in favor to use a product which can't cause our environment into an unfriendly environment. Why not use a face towel instead of those products.

face towel??? are you serious!

Anyway... I use the moon cup! they are cool arent they! I dont really like using tampons because my mom had one stuck up her vaj when I was young and she had to go to the ER to have it removed! yuck!

Anyway, ever since she would just tell us to use a pad instead. But after i discovered the moon cup, I've used it ever since my late 20's.

Tampons are convenient than pads and you can do more activities with them.

Pads are more messy!

What I do avoid is scented tampons since the fragrance can irritate and cause rashes to the vulva.

If you want to save the planet and avoid TSS use a menstrual cup. There are several brands I know like DivaCup, SoftCup and MoonCup. I have a DivaCup and MoonCup which I use during my period in lieu of a pad or tampon. Saves me lots of $$!!!
