Baby Love: Robin Barker

Baby Love is Australia's bestselling baby-care book, written by a woman who has over twenty-five years of hands-on experience with mothers and babies. It's full of detailed helpful material including:

  • practical and informative advice on sleeping and crying
  • clear and concise information about getting breastfeeding right - for you (no pressure)
  • a wonderful article specially for grandparents on what they should and shouldn't do. If you can get them to (a) read it and (b) take notice, your life will probably be a lot less stressful!

I spoke to Robin and she explained that because the book sells so well in Australia, whenever it is reprinted she can include updates. The rest of us will have to accept the 2002 which is on offer through Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk. UK readers, please do watch out - there's a Vermilion print around in bookshops and on Amazon, but it is the 1999 version which would seem to be a little old.

(And if you're still not convinced this is the book for you, there was a discussion about how good it is on the Got Pregnant board and here are a couple of comments that were made:
